Who's done it, how'd it turn out and have you done it lately? Master and I brewed our first batch of beer together on Nov 1. It is an Acorn squash brew and it was quite fun actually and I learned alot. Can't wait to taste it and make some more.

And you were very good about doing everything you were instructed to do...
down to needing to run down to the brew store to pick up some more equipment...

My husband and I have been brewing for just a lil over a year and it's been great for me......I've definately been learning a lot. We brew in 15 gallon batches......using sanke kegs we have modified, they really work nice! I finally brewed a batch on my own a couple of weeks ago, we kegged it yesterday and man is it GOOD!!!

Thanks Jen. I will take you up on some hints the next batch we make. Master apparently makes awesome beer and used to live in Grants pass.
Where in Oregon do you live? Would you share what co you brew for?
I can't wait to taste the beer we made. I would like to try out all different kinds of squash for some more ale's. Anything good that you've made or tried with different squash or pumpkin?

:) I live in Salem Oregon and work for a company called McMenamins...we have about twenty some odd brewers in our whole company so it's pretty cool being the token chick in the boys club haha I have never made anything with squash or pumpkin but I do make a really great Chocolate Chili Porter....I roast Anaheims and Pablano peppers then add them into the hop sock and put them in the keg when I rack....I also just made a ginger lime golden ale that was really fun...nice light body with just a hint of lime and ginger...not too overpowering...for the first keg that I did had way tooo much lime in it...easy to go overboard with. Glad that I found this tribe of cool folks to talk about beer...for it's one of my favorite past times...especially when peeps know the language :) Prost!
