Hi all,
I'm going to Portland, OR in August and I've been researching some good breweries to try. There are so many, though, it is hard to choose. I have time to see about 2. Any suggestions?

Re: Good breweries in Portland, OR?
Wed, April 12, 2006 - 3:12 PMPortland indeed has a dizzying number of microbreweries worth visiting.
It also depends on whether you will have a car or be using public transit (Portland's MAX line rocks, btw).
If you only have time for two, I would suggest Bridgeport's newly-reopened pub at 13th NW and Marshall, and New Old Lompoc at NW 22nd and Starke or so (can't recall the cross-street). These are both easily reached by transit.
On the SE side of the city are a few others, but you will need a car to get to them.
